1 Arrested on Firearms and Narcotics Offenses During MV Stop

A Union County man was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm and narcotics during a motor vehicle stop on Myrtle Street on Wednesday, September 24th 2025.

At approximately 12:10 AM, Officers Liam Duffy and Officer Jack Korzeneski stopped a black 2021 Honda Accord for motor vehicle violations on Myrtle Street.  During the motor vehicle investigation, Officers located a loaded firearm and narcotics within the vehicle. The suspect, later identified as Jack Jeanbaptiste, 28, of Hillside, New Jersey, was taken into custody without incident.

Jeanbaptiste was found to be in possession of a stolen HK loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun with 16 rounds of ammunition, ecstasy, heroin, and cocaine. 

Jeanbaptiste was charged with Possession of a Firearm, Receiving Stolen Property and Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substances with the Intent to Distribute. At the time of this arrest, Jeanbaptiste, was committed to the Union County Jail pending a detention hearing.
