Children aged 5-13 are invited to enjoy a FREE morning of fishing alongside members of the Cranford Police Department on Saturday, April 22nd, 2023, at Nomahegan Park in Cranford, NJ. Online registrations must be completed on our free Cranford PD app before the event, with in-person check-in on derby day from 7:30-7:50 am. A Fishing tutorial for beginners led by our experienced fishers (police officers) will begin at 8:00 am. This event is for Cranford Residents Only.

Participants are required to bring their own equipment, but bait will be provided. Limited equipment will be available for those who do not have it. Fishing teaches patience, ingenuity and humility. Our officers will work alongside kids, helping them bait, cast, hook, and release. Prizes will be given for the largest fish caught for age groups 5-9 and 10-13.
