Remarks:
On 03/17/2024 at 2115 hours police stopped a vehicle on Raritan Road after witnessing the driver strike a curb. Subsequent to an investigation the driver, Max Johnson, 40, Cliffwood, New Jersey was placed under arrest and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Careless Driving, and Possession of an Open Container. Johnson was released on a summons pending a municipal court hearing.
03/18/2024 @ 1320 hours- South Avenue West

Shoplifting, Possession of CDS
Remarks:
On 03/18/2024 at 1329 hours police responded to a retail establishment located on South Avenue West on a report of a shoplifting that had just occurred. A short time later the responding officers located two suspects on South Avenue at High Street who were in possession of property that was reported stolen by the victim. Subsequent to a brief investigation conducted by Detective Jason D’Agostino and Nicolette Tufano, Drayton Rambert, 54, Elizabeth New Jersey was arrested and charged with shoplifting. A second suspect, Gregory Fulford, 55, Newark, New Jersey, was arrested and charged with Shoplifting and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. Rambert was released on summonses pending a municipal court hearing. Fulford was issued a summons and turned over to the Union County Sheriff’s Department on a preexisting No Bail Warrant.
03/24/2024 @ 2220 hours – North Avenue East at Carpenter Place

Possession of CDS, Evidence Tampering
Remarks:
On 03/24/2024 at 2220 hours, police stopped a vehicle on North Avenue East at Carpenter place after witnessing that the vehicle did not have a front license plate. Subsequent to an investigation the driver, Dustin Rose, 35, of Colonia, New Jersey was placed under arrest and charged with possession of CDS heroin, CDS cocaine, and evidence tampering. Rose was processed and provided a Superior Court Appearance date.
