04/02/2024 at 2047 hours- North Avenue East

Arrested:        

Oscar Santiesteban, 54, Roselle Park, NJ

Arrested by:

Charges:         

Driving While Intoxicated, Careless Driving, Reckless Driving

Remarks:

On 04/02/2024 at 2047 hours Cranford Police responded to North Avenue East at the Garden State Parkway interchange on a report of a motor vehicle accident.  After a brief investigation, Officer Nicolette Tufano arrested Oscar Santiesteban, 54, Roselle Park, NJ, and charged him with Driving While Intoxicated, Careless Driving, and Reckless Driving. Santiesteban was released on a summons pending a municipal court hearing.

 

04/04/2024 at 2225 hours- North Avenue East at Arlington Road

Arrested:        

Keith Gaines, 62, Scotch Plains, NJ

Arrested by:

Officer Travis Freeman

Charges:

Driving While Intoxicated, Careless Driving, Avoiding a Traffic Signal

Remarks:        

On a 04/04/2024 at 2235 hours Officer Travis Freeman stopped a vehicle for Avoiding a Traffic Signal and Careless Driving on North Avenue East at Arlington Road.  After a brief investigation the driver, Keith Gaines, 62, Scotch Plains, NJ was placed under arrest and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Avoiding a Traffic Signal, and Careless Driving. Gaines was released on a summons pending a municipal court hearing.

 

04/05/2024 at 0043 hours- North Avenue West at Miln Street

Arrested:

Hristof Palomino, 26, West Orange, NJ

Gaelson Senesca, 27, Newark, NJ

Arrested by:

Officer Antonio Bellomo

Charges: Possession of Fraudulent Document, Failure to Signal, No Registration in Possession

Remarks:

On 04/05/2024 at 0043 hours Officer Antonio Bellomo stopped a vehicle for a motor vehicle violation on North Avenue West. After a brief investigation Officer Bellomo arrested the driver, Hristof Palomino, 26, West Orange, NJ. Palomino was charged with Failure to Signal and No Registration in Possession. In addition, Palomino was detained for an open warrant originating in West Orange, NJ.  A passenger, Gaelson Senesca, 27, Newark, NJ was arrested for Presenting a Fraudulent Identification and Hindering. Senesca was also detained for open warrants originating in Orange, NJ and Union County, NJ.

 

04/06/2024 at 0248 hours- South Avenue East

Arrested:        

Gioy Leone, 33, Brooklyn, NY

Arrested by:   

Officer Officer Rameil King

Charges:         

Receiving Stolen Property

Remarks:

On 04/06/2024 at 0246 hours Officer Rameil King observed a 2023 Hyundai on South Avenue that matched the description of an earlier stolen vehicle broadcast. Officer King stopped the suspect vehicle on South Avenue and placed the driver, Gioy Leone, 33, Brooklyn, NY, under arrest for Receiving Stolen Property. Leone was released on a summons pending a Superior Court hearing.

 

04/06/2024 at 0915- 700 block of Walnut Avenue

Arrested:

Todd Morgan, 66, Clark, NJ

Arrested by:

Officer Dan Norton

Charges:

Driving While Intoxicated, Careless Driving

Remarks:

On 04/06/2024 at 0915 hours Cranford Police responded to the 700 block of Walnut Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a car that had rolled over. An investigation conducted by Officer Norton determined that Todd Morgan, 66, Clark, NJ, was operating a 2018 Jeep Cherokee on Walnut Avenue when he struck a parked vehicle. Morgan was transported to Overlook Hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. He was released on a summons pending a municipal court hearing.
