06/03/2024 @ 01:43 hours – 100 block of Thomas Street

Remarks:

On 06/03/2024 at approximately 18:18 hours, police were dispatched to a residence on Thomas Street on the report of a stolen bicycle. The victim reported that an unknown individual had stolen a bicycle from thei front yard.  The victim's bicycle was equipped with a GPS tracking device and was subsequently located while being operated by a suspect in Roselle NJ.  Following an investigation by Detective Robert Jordan, the suspect was identified as Jareal McCall, 29, of Linden, NJ. McCall was charged with theft and issued a Superior Court date.

 

06/07/2024 @ 01:43 hours – North Ave East at Carpenter Place

Melissa Gibbons, 37, Roselle Park, NJ

Driving While Intoxicated

Remarks:

On 06/07/2024 at approximately 01:43 hours, police stopped a gray 2010 Toyota on North Avenue East for several motor vehicle violations.  Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Antonio Bellomo arrested the driver, Melissa Gibbons, 37, of Roselle Park, NJ, for driving while intoxicated. Gibbons was processed and provided a Municipal Court appearance date.  In addition, Gibbons was issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, failure to maintain lane, and failure to wear a seatbelt.

 

06/12/2024 @ 13:24 hours – North Ave at Miln Street

Possession of CDS- Heroin

Remarks:

On 06/12/2024 at approximately 13:24 hours, police stopped a white Chevrolet on North Avenue near Miln Street for a motor vehicle violation. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Michael O’Neil arrested the passenger, Megan Vinson, 34, of Elizabeth, NJ, for possession of heroin. Vinson was processed and provided a Superior Court appearance date.  In addition, Vinson, was issued a motor vehicle summons for failure to wear a seatbelt.

 

06/12/2024 @ 14:18 hours – South Avenue West

Shoplifting

Remarks :

On 06/12/2024 at approximately 14:18 hours, police responded to a business establishment within the first block of South Avenue West for the report of a shoplifting. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Christian Pasternak arrested Michael Andrews, 36, of Carteret, NJ for Shoplifting. Andrews was processed and provided a Municipal Court appearance date.

 

06/16/2024 @ 02:38 hours – Lincoln Avenue East at Thomas Street

Remarks:

On 06/16/2024 at approximately 02:38 hours, police located a disabled 2012 white BMW on Lincoln Avenue East at Thomas Street. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Nicolette Tufano arrested the driver, Soloman Armstrong, 29, Plainfield, NJ for driving while intoxicated. Armstrong was processed and provided a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, Armstrong was issued a motor vehicle summons for failing to submit to breath testing.
