On 08/07/2025, units from the Cranford Police and Fire Departments responded to a business located within the 500 block of North Avenue East on the report of a dumpster fire. As a result of a follow-up investigation by Detective Jordan, Pratik Patel, 40, Edison, NJ was charged with criminal mischief. Patel was provided with a Superior Court appearance date.

On 08/14/2025 at approximately 19:26 hours police stopped a 2022 Mercedes on North Avenue for delaying traffic. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Duffy arrested the driver, Arlene Haber, 74, Woodland Park, NJ for driving while intoxicated. Haber was processed and issued a Municipal Court date. In addition, Haber, was issued a motor vehicle summonse for careless driving.
08/16/2025 @ 01:21 hours – Centennial Avenue and Raritan Road

On 08/16/2025 at approximately 00:53 hours, police stopped a 2017 Mercedes on Centennial Avenue for improper safety glass. During the course of the stop the driver, identified as Michael Quinones, fled from the scene at a high rate of speed. Subsequent to an investigation by Officer King, Michael Quinones, 21, Irvington, NJ was charged with eluding. Quinones was issued a Superior Court date and multiple motor vehicle summonses.
08/20/2025 @ 10:00 hours – Elm Street at Centennial Avenue

Remarks:
On 08/20/2025 at approximately 10:00 hours police were dispatched to the area of Centennial Avenue and Elm Street on the report of a leaving the scene motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, Detective Corey LoForte and Officer Christopher Gross located the vehicle and driver in question. After an investigation by Detective LoForte, the driver, Arpam Mukerjee, 47, New Providence, NJ was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Mukerjee was processed and issued a Municipal Court date. In addition, Mukerjee, was issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving and leaving the scene of an accident.

On 08/20/2025 at approximately 09:30 hours, subsequent to an incident of eluding that occurred within the Township of Cranford, NJ in August of 2025, Detective Jason D’Agostino located and charged Kedar Innocent, 28, Newark, NJ. Innocent was processed and issued a Superior Court date. In addition, Innocent was issued numerous motor vehicle summonses.

On 08/23/2025 at approximately 01:44 hours, police stopped a 2001 Lexus in the area of North Avenue and Carpenter Place for an equipment violation. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Nicolette Tufano arrested the driver, Reginald Trail, 44, Plainfield, NJ for driving while intoxicated. Trail was processed and issued a Municipal Court date. In addition, Trail, was issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, reckless driving, expired driver’s license, unregistered vehicle, and failure to submit to breath tests.

On 08/24/2025 at approximately 20:34 hours, police stopped a 2020 Hyundai in the area of Springfield Avenue and North Union Avenue for speeding. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Tufano arrested the driver, Theodore Lenahan, 21, South Amboy, NJ for driving while intoxicated. Lenahan was processed and issued a Municipal Court date. In addition, Lenahan, was issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, reckless driving, failure to keep right, delaying traffic and failure to provide documents.
