09/20/2025 @ 11:56 hours – 500 block of Centennial Avenue

Remarks:

On 09/20/2025 at approximately 11:56 hours, police responded to a business located within the 500 block of Centennial Avenue on the report of a dispute. After an investigation by Officer Siessel, the suspect, Derrick Brooks, 44, of Cranford, was charged with criminal mischief and harassment for cursing at patrons and throwing eggs at the business. Brooks was issued a Municipal Court appearance date.

 

09/22/2025 @ 00:33 hours – Springfield Avenue at Miln Street

Driving While Intoxicated

Possession of prescription narcotics with the intent to distribute

Remarks:

On 09/22/25 at approximately 00:33 hours, police stopped a 2016 Acura near the intersection of Springfield Avenue and Miln Street Avenue East and Forest Avenue for several motor vehicle violations. After an investigation by Sgt. Donnerstag, the driver, Clifford Robert, 33, of Piscataway, NJ, was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated and for possession of prescription narcotics with the intent to distribute.  Robert was processed, provided a Superior Court date, and transported to the Union County Jail. Additionally, Robert was issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, delaying traffic and CDS in a motor vehicle.

 

10/06/2025 @ 16:16 hours – High Street at South Avenue

Remarks:

On 10/06/2025 at approximately 16:16 hours, police responded to a two car motor vehicle accident near the intersection of High Street and South Avenue. After an investigation by Officer Siessel, one of the involved drivers, Lisa Oreilly, 71, of Cranford, NJ was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Oreilly was processed, and provided a Municipal Court date. Oreilly was also issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to submit breath samples, leaving the scene of an accident, improperly turning, and careless driving

 

10/10/2025 @ 21:00 hours – North Avenue East at Carpenter Place

Remarks:

On 10/10/2025 at approximately 21:00 hours, police stopped a 2000 Ford near the intersection of North Avenue East and Carpenter Place for a littering violation.  After an investigation, Officer Tufano arrested the driver, Gloria McCluskey, 52, of Clark, NJ, for possession of CDS – Cocaine.  McCluskey was processed and provided a Superior Court date. McCluskey was also issued motor vehicle summonses for unlicensed driver, CDS in a motor vehicle and unregistered vehicle.

 

10/14/2025 @ 23:11 hours – Centennial Avenue at Raritan Road

Remarks:

On 10/14/2025 at approximately 23:11 hours, police stopped a 2010 Mazda near the intersection of Centennial Avenue and Raritan Road for a cellular phone violation.  After an investigation, Officer Freeman arrested the driver, Lester Gabriel, 28, of Newark, NJ, and passenger, Heber Joseph, 30, of Irvington, NJ, for possession of CDS and possession of prescription narcotics.  Both were processed and provided a Superior Court date. Lester Gabriel was also issued motor vehicle summonses for unlicensed driver, CDS in a motor vehicle and use of a cellular phone while driving.

 

10/18/2025 @ 19:47 hours – 400 block of North Avenue East

Remarks:

On 10/18/2025 at approximately 19:47 hours, police responded to a single car motor vehicle accident in a business parking lot within the 400 block of North Avenue East. After an investigation by Officer Sousa, the driver, Jhossimar Yoplaclatorre, 31, of Linden, NJ, was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Yoplaclatorre was processed, and provided a Municipal Court date. Yoplaclatorre was also issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to submit breath samples, reckless driving, careless driving and unsafe lane change.

 

10/21/2025 @ 17:21 hours – 50 block of South Avenue West

Remarks:

On 10/21/2025 at approximately 17:21 hours, police were dispatched to a business within the 50 block of South Avenue West on the report of a shoplifter. After being provided with the suspect description Detective LoForte observed a suspect matching the description walking on South Avenue. After a brief investigation, the suspect, Charles Rean, 39, of Roselle, NJ, was placed under arrest for shoplifting.  Rean was processed and provided a Municipal Court appearance date.

 

10/22/2025 @ 21:57 hours – Raritan Road near Moen Avenue

Remarks:

On 10/22/2025 at approximately 21:57 hours, officers located an occupied stolen vehicle within a parking lot of a Raritan Road business. After an investigation by Officer Carlos Montero, the suspect, Julie Francois, 27, Union, NJ, was placed under arrest for receiving stolen property and hindering.  Francois was processed and provided a Superior Court appearance date.

 

10/25/2025 @ 02:57 hours – Baltimore Avenue at Myrtle Street

Remarks:

On 10/25/2025 at approximately 02:57 hours, police responded to a three-car motor vehicle accident on Baltimore Avenue near Myrtle Street. Upon arrival Officers located a 2020 Honda which was flipped on its side. After an investigation by Officer Haddad, the driver, Eber Monroy-Gonzalez, 24, of Newark, NJ was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Monroy-Gonzalez was processed, and provided a Municipal Court date. Additionally, he was also issued motor vehicle summonses for unregistered vehicle, unsafe operation of a motor vehicle, reckless driving, careless driving and failure to maintain lane.

 

10/26/2025 @ 23:36 hours – Centennial Avenue at Cummings Street

Remarks:

On 10/26/2025 at approximately 23:36 hours, police stopped a 2021 Tesla near the intersection of Centennial Avenue and Cummings Street for a multiple equipment violations.  After an investigation, Officer Korzeneski arrested the driver, Ramy El-Daly, 30, of Springfield, NJ, for possession of CDS – cocaine with the intent to distribute.  El-Daly was processed and provided a Superior Court date. Mccluskey was also issued motor vehicle summonses for unlicensed driver, no front license plate and improper window tint.  

 

11/02/2025 @ 01:05 hours – Orchard Street at Pittsfield Road

Remarks:

On 11/02/2025 at approximately 01:05 hours, police stopped a 2020 Acura sedan on orchard Street near Pittsfield Road for failing to stop at a posted stop sign. After an investigation by Officer Ricerca, the driver, Christian Masters, 24, of Hillsborough, NJ, was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Masters was processed, and provided a Municipal Court date. Additionally, he was also issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, stop sign violation, open container of alcohol and failure to maintain lane.

 

11/03/2025 @ 23:57 hours – Raritan Road at Moen Street

Remarks:

On 11/03/2025 at approximately 23:57 hours, police stopped a 2005 Ford on Raritan Road near Moen Avenue for failing to stop at a red traffic signal. After an investigation by Officer Ingram, the driver, George Alves, 54, of Linden, NJ, was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Alves was processed, and provided a Municipal Court date. Additionally, he was also issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving and for failing to observe a traffic signal.

 

11/04/2025 @ 21:18 hours – Buchanan Street at Centennial Avenue

Remarks:

On 11/04/2025 at approximately 21:18 hours, police observed an individual erratically and yelling profusely at patrons of a nearby restaurant in an unreasonably loud and profane manner. After an investigation by Officer Duffy, Derrick Brooks, 44, of Cranford, NJ, was arrested for disorderly conduct. Brooks was processed and issued a Municipal Court appearance date.

 

11/05/2025 @ 10:41 hours – 1000 block of Springfield Avenue

Remarks:

On 11/05/2025 at approximately 10:41 hours, police were called to a location within the 1000 block of Springfield Avenue for an individual refusing to leave the premises. After an investigation by Officer Hearns, Romeo Hamlette, 28, of Elizabeth, NJ, was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass. Hamlette was processed and issued a Municipal Court appearance date.

 

11/06/2025 @ 12:39 hours – South Avenue at Washington Place

Remarks:

On 11/06/2025 at approximately 12:39 hours, police stopped a 2004 Chevrolet on South Avenue near Washington Place for inoperable brake lights. After an investigation by Officer Gross, the driver, Gabrielle Marshall, 30, of Plainfield, NJ, was placed under arrest for obstruction and resisting arrest. Marshall was processed, and provided a Municipal Court date. Additionally, she was also issued motor vehicle summonses for maintenance of lamps and invalid vehicle inspection.

 

11/11/2025 @ 20:05 hours – 50 block of South Avenue West

Remarks:

On 11/11/2025 at approximately 20:05 hours, police were advised of a suspect vehicle that is associated with a prior shoplifting at a business within the 50 block of South Avenue West.  Officer Tufano located the vehicle in the vicinity of the business and conducted a motor vehicle stop for delaying traffic. After a brief investigation, Marat Kurbanov 41, of Newark, NJ was placed under arrest for shoplifting. Additionally, Konstanstine Tutarashvili, 41, of Newark, NJ was charged by Detective D’Agostino for a prior shoplifting offense at the same business. Both were processed and provided a Municipal Court appearance dates.

 

11/11/2025 @ 22:08 hours – 300 block of Prospect Street

Remarks:

On 11/11/2025 at approximately 22:08 hours, police were dispatched to the 300 block of Prospect Street for a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival Officers located a 2008 Hyundai occupied and running with an individual asleep in the driver’s seat. After an investigation by Officer Ingram, Alan Yuch, 37, of Summit, NJ, was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Alves was processed, and provided a Municipal Court date. Additionally, he was also issued motor vehicle summonses for improper parking, open container of alcohol and refusal to submit breath samples.

 

11/12/2025 @  19:56 hours – 100 block of Dermody Street

Remarks:

On 11/12/2025 at approximately 19:56 hours, police were dispatched to the 100 block of Dermody Street for a disabled vehicle. Upon arrival Officers located a 2023 Nissan that was off the roadway and stuck in mud. After an investigation by Officer Ingram, Ronald Porterfield, 49, of Elizabeth NJ, was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Porterfield was processed, and provided a Municipal Court date. Additionally, he was also issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, failure to provide documents and refusal to submit breath samples.

 

11/13/2025 @ 21:46 hours – Centennial Avenue at Hayes Street

Remarks:

On 11/13/2025 at approximately 21:46 hours, police stopped a 2016 Chevrolet near the intersection of Centennial Avenue and Hayes Street for a seatbelt violation.  After an investigation, Officer Duffy arrested the driver, John Skokan, of Perth Amboy, NJ, for possession of CDS – cocaine. Skokan was processed and provided a Superior Court date. Skokan was also issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to wear seatbelt and CDS in a motor vehicle.

 

11/27/2025 @ 01:38 hours – Raritan Road at Centennial Avenue

Remarks:

On 11/27/2025 at approximately 01:38 hours, police stopped a 2025 Kia near the intersection of Raritan Road and Centennial Avenue for an improper turn.  After an investigation, Officer Freeman arrested the driver, Anthony Moretti, 27, of Clark, NJ, for possession of CDS – Ecstasy. Moretti was processed and provided a Superior Court date. Moretti was also issued motor vehicle summonses for improper turn, suspended driver and CDS in a motor vehicle.
