Remarks:
On 01/26/2025 at approximately 17:21 hours, Officer Tufano responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of South Avenue East and Centennial Avenue. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Tufano arrested the driver, Jasmine Rosa, 39, of Elizabeth, for Driving While Intoxicated. It was later determined that Rosa was a Fugitive from Justice wanted by the Miami-Dade, FL Police Department. Rosa was processed, provided a municipal court appearance date, and remanded to Essex County Jail to await extradition to Miami, FL.

On 01/31/2025 at approximately 00:52 hours, Officer Bellomo stopped a 2016 Nissan on South Avenue West near Lincoln Avenue West for speeding, failure to maintain lane, and a turn signal violation. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Bellomo arrested the driver, Vijay Singh, 35, of Montclair, for Driving While Intoxicated. Singh was processed, and provided a municipal court date. Singh was also issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, failure to keep right, failure to signal, and open container in a motor vehicle.

On 02/03/2025 at approximately 00:00 hours, Officer Bellomo stopped a 2009 Jeep after a brief motor vehicle pursuit near the intersection of Riverside Drive and Prospect Avenue. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Bellomo arrested the driver, Bilial Bishop, 26, of Newark, for Eluding and several outstanding warrants. Bishop was processed, and remanded to Essex County Jail pending a detention hearing. Bishop was also issued motor vehicle summonses for driving without a license, careless driving, and failing to stop at a stop sign.

On 02/06/2025 at approximately 00:51 hours, Officer King stopped a 2018 Honda on Raritan Road near Moen Avenue for failing to signal a turn and a window tint violation. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer King arrested a passenger, Isaiah M. Joachim, 25, of Rahway, for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (MDMA), as well as an outstanding warrant out of Newark, NJ. Joachim was processed, and provided a superior court appearance date, as well as a date to appear in Newark Municipal Court.

On 02/10/2025 at approximately 02:46 hours, Officer Freeman observed a 2000 Toyota sedan crash into a light pole on Raritan Road near Centennial Avenue. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Freeman arrested the driver, Justin Guadalupe, 26, of Perth Amboy, for Driving While Intoxicated. Guadalupe was processed, and provided a municipal court appearance date. Guadalupe was also issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, speeding, and failure to observe a traffic control device.

On 02/10/2025 at approximately 19:40 hours, Officer Bellomo stopped a 2020 Acura on North Avenue near the Garden State Parkway Interchange for a license plate violation. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Bellomo arrested the driver, Christopher Thervil, 35, of Brooklyn, NY, for possession of a controlled dangerous substance – oxycodone. Thervil was processed, and provided a superior court date. Thervil was also issued motor vehicle summonses for failing to properly display a license plate and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle.

On 02/19/2025 at approximately 00:39 hours, Officer Freeman stopped a 2014 Dodge on Centennial Avenue near Raritan Road for an equipment violation, and a registration violation. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Freeman arrested the driver, Christopher Evans, 39, of Hillside, and a passenger Carly Collings, 24, or Garwood, for possession of a controlled dangerous substance – heroin and cocaine. Both Evans and Collings were processed, and provided superior court dates. Evans was also issued motor vehicle summonses for unregistered motor vehicle.

Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Tufano arrested the driver, Megan Robazetti, 29, of Jersey City, for Driving While Intoxicated. Robazetti was processed, and provided a municipal court date. Robazetti was also issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to obey a traffic control device, and careless driving.

On 02/27/2025 at approximately 15:54 hours, Officer King was flagged down by a retail employee about a suspicious male at 6 West South Avenue. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer King arrested Nathaniel E. Powell, 50, of Newark, for possession of a controlled dangerous substance – heroin, and several outstanding warrants. Powell was processed, and provided a superior court date. Powell was also provided additional court dates for his outstanding warrants.

Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Sousa arrested the driver, Jhonny Perezpena, 27, of Paterson, for driving while intoxicated. Perezpena was processed, and provided a municipal court date. Perezpena was also issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to provide breath samples, speeding, reckless driving, and improper display of license plates.

Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Tufano arrested a passenger, Erin Hynes, 41, of Cranford, for possession of a controlled dangerous substance – heroin. Hynes was processed and provided a superior court date. Hynes was also issued a motor vehicle summons for failure to wear a seatbelt.

Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Sousa arrested the driver, Brittney Smith, 38, of South Amboy, for driving while intoxicated. Smith was processed, and provided a municipal court date. Smith was also issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to keep right, careless driving, speeding, and open container of an alcoholic beverage.
