Attempted Burglary Overnight - Herning Avenue
On August 29th 2023 at approximately 02:59AM, Patrol Units responded to a Herning Avenue address on the report of an attempted residential burglary. After hearing a suspicious noise toward the front of their home, the victim observed two black males peering through a front window. The victim was able to observe the suspects flee in a dark color sedan which was occupied by a third suspect. The suspect vehicle fled at a high rate of speed southbound on Herning Avenue. Upon closer inspection, the victim observed that their front window screen was opened by the suspects. It should be noted that the victim had a BMW parked in their driveway.
Residents are encouraged to be vigilant in locking not only their vehicles, but also ensuring that their homes are secured during overnight hours. Also, check that your security cameras are operational.
