The Cranford Police Department is pleased to announce that it is actively accepting applications for the position of Sworn Police Officer. The Cranford Police Department has two tracks for applicants: PTC-Certified and Non-PTC Certified Applicants.
Police Training Commission or PTC Certified Candidates should submit their resume, cover letter, and NJ Driver's License to police@cranfordnj.org by December 1st, 2023.
Non-PTC Certified Applicants are required to fill out an initial application located at THIS WEBSITE. All Non-PTC Certified Applicants must submit their application along with a certified/cashier's check or money order for $25.00 (testing administration fees) to the Township of Cranford by 4PM on December 1st, 2023. Non-PTC Certified Applicants must participate in a written examination tentatively scheduled for December 22nd, 2023. Those passing the written examination process will attend the physical ability assessment tentatively scheduled for January 8th, 2024. Those selected to attend the John H. Stamler Police Academy will attend the Summer 2024 session, scheduled to graduate in December 2024.
