Remarks:
On 06/05/2023 at approximately 0859 hours, police responded to the first block of South Avenue West on a report of a theft from a business. Police determined that a suspect operating a white Dodge Charger accessed this closed business property and stole automobile supplies. Subsequent to an investigation, on 07/12/2023 Detective Jason D’Agostino arrested Lenny Salas of Rahway NJ for criminal trespass and theft. Salas was processed and provided a Superior Court Appearance Date.
06/24/2023 @ 1908 hours – Grant Street at Clearly Avenue

Remarks:
On 06/24/2023 at approximately 1908 hours, police stopped a 2008 Black Mazda on Grant Street at Cleary Avenue for equipment and moving violations. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Christopher Gross arrested the driver, Ali Abdullah of Paterson NJ, for possession of CDS heroin and possession of CDS Paraphernalia. Abdullah was processed and provided a Superior Court Appearance Date. In addition, Abdullah was issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to maintain lamps, failure to maintain lane, failure to produce credentials and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle.
07/02/2023 @ 0240 hours – Raritan Road at Centennial Avenue

On 07/02/2023 approximately 0240 hours, police responded to Raritan Road at Centennial Avenue on the report of a motor vehicle crash. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Michael Gamba arrested the driver of a 2023 Silver Nissan, Lawrence Truppo of Rahway NJ, for driving while intoxicated. Truppo was processed and provided a Municipal Court Appearance Date. In addition, Truppo was issued motor vehicle summonses for delaying traffic, failure to observe a traffic signal and careless driving.

Subsequent to an investigation, on 07/11/2023 Detective Jason D’Agostino arrested Moustafa Shalabi of South Plainfield NJ for theft. On 07/22/2023 at approximately 0613 hours, police responded to the area of Commerce Drive at Moen Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle crash. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Thomas Bell arrested the driver of a 2012 Maroon BMW, Phero Borgella of Brooklyn NY, for driving while intoxicated. Borgella was processed and provided a Municipal Court Appearance Date. In addition, Borgella was issued motor vehicle summonses for refusal to submit to breath testing and careless driving.
