On 11/29/2022 at approximately 1003 hours, police responded to a business on the 500 block of South Avenue East on the report of a leaving the scene accident involving a 2019 Black Jeep striking a pedestrian. Subsequent to an investigation, Detective James Knight charged the driver, Nicholas Grant of Edison New Jersey, with Simple Assault. Grant was processed and provided a Municipal Court Appearance Date. In addition, Grant was issued motor vehicle summonses for leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, careless driving, and failure to wear a seatbelt.

On 12/11/2022 at approximately 0049 hours, police stopped a 2007 Silver Mazda on Springfield Avenue at North Union Avenue for multiple moving violations. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Antonio arrested the driver, Kevin Anderson of Cranford New Jersey, for driving while intoxicated. Anderson was processed and provided a Municipal Court Appearance Date. In addition, Anderson was issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, failure to keep right, and failure to submit to breath testing.
