Remarks:
On 04/07/2023 at approximately 1757 hours, police stopped a 2012 White Nissan on Centennial Avenue at Raritan Road equipment violations. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Christopher Folinusz arrested the driver, Amoree Simpson, 31, of Newark NJ, for possession of CDS pills. Simpson was processed and provided a Superior Court Appearance Date. In addition, Simpson was issued motor vehicle summonses for maintenance of lamps, unlicensed driver, failure to inspect a motor vehicle, driving while suspended, and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle.

Remarks:
On 04/08/2023 at approximately 2140 hours, police stopped a 2015 Gray Audi for equipment violations. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Christopher Folinusz arrested the driver, Zaire Clay, 20, East Orange NJ, for receiving stolen property as a result of him possessing a license plate reported stolen out of Newark, NJ. Zaire was processed and provided a Superior Court Appearance Date. In addition, Zaire was given summonses for having an obstructed windshield, driving while suspended, and failure to inspect.
04/16/2023 @ 0411 hours – Raritan Road at Centennial Avenue

On 04/16/2023 approximately 0411 hours, police stopped a 2021 Gray Toyota on Raritan Road Centennial Avenue for a moving violation. Subsequent to an investigation, Patrolman Ryan McSharry arrested the driver, Steven Abreu, 47, of Rahway NJ, for driving while intoxicated. Abreu was processed and provided a Municipal Court Appearance Date. In addition, Abreu was issued motor vehicle summonses for improper turn, failure to maintain lane, failure to keep right, unregistered vehicle, careless driving, and refusal to submit to breath tests.

On 04/21/2023 at approximately 1801 hours, police were dispatched to the report of a motor vehicle crash on North Avenue East near the Garden State Parkway Interchange. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Michael Gamba arrested one the drivers, Salvatore Cocuzza, 55, of Roselle Park NJ, for driving while intoxicated. Cocuzza was processed and provided a Municipal Court Appearance Date. In addition, Cocuzza was issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driing, and failure to provide credentials.
04/22/2023 @ 20:39 – Lexington Avenue at Denman Road

Remarks:
On 04/22/2023 at approximately 2039 hours, police were actively investigating a motor vehicle crash on Lexington Avenue at Denman Road. During the course of this investigation, Officer Joshua Sousa observed a 2020 Blue Honda Civic crash into a tow truck that had responded to the initial crash investigation. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Sousa arrested the driver of the Honda, Dale Iannetti, 65, of Garwood NJ, for driving while intoxicated. Iannetti was processed and provided a Municipal Court Appearance Date. In addition, Ianetti was issued motor vehicle summonses for reckless driving, careless driving, failure to maintain lane, delaying traffic, failure to provide credentials, and failure to obey signals, signs or directions.

On 04/23/2023 at approximately 2110 hours, police were dispatched to a business parking lot on the 400 Block of North Avenue East for the report of a suspicious motor vehicle. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Liam Duffy arrested Stephen Sampson, 76, of Union NJ, for driving while intoxicated. Sampson was processed and provided a Municipal Court Appearance Date. In addition, Sampson was issued a motor vehicle summons for careless driving.

Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Antonio Bellomo arrested the driver, Carlos Rivera, 34, of Elizabeth NJ, for possession of CDS pills and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Rivera was processed and provided a Superior Court Appearance Date. In addition, Rivera was issued motor vehicle summonses for improper display of license plates, failure to keep right, CDS in a motor vehicle, suspended driver, and unlicensed driver.
