Cranford Police Department Now Accepting Applications: POLICE OFFICER
CRANFORD, NJ - The Cranford Police Department has begun recruiting for upcoming vacancies and is seeking Non-PTC Applicants, but PTC Candidates are also welcome to submit an application.
NON-PTC CERTIFIED APPLICANTS - GENERAL RECRUITING: Non-PTC Applicants must apply to the Cranford Police Department by 4:00 PM by September 15, 2026 along with a $25.00 certified/cashier's check or money order made out to the "Township of Cranford". Non-PTC Applicants are required to participate in a written examination tentatively scheduled for September 22, 2026 and a physical test tentatively scheduled for September 29, 2026.
PTC CERTIFIED CANDIDATES: PTC-Certified Candidates must submit an application by 4:00 PM on September 15, 2026. There is no application fee required for PTC candidates, who will not be required to complete written or physical testing outlined under the NON-PTC CERTIFIED APPLICANT process detailed above.
