Cranford Police Promotes Chris DiFabio to Sergeant, Appoints Antonio Bellomo as Patrolman

CRANFORD POLICE DEPARTMENT HOSTS PROMOTION AND APPOINTMENT CEREMONY

At a ceremony held in Municipal Chambers on November 24th, 2021, the Cranford Police Department promoted Detective Christopher DiFabio to Sergeant and appointed Antonio Bellomo to the position of 1st Grade Patrolman.  Mayor Kathleen Miller Prunty and Chief Ryan J. Greco led the ceremony, which was attended by Public Safety Commissioner Jason Gareis, Township Administrator Jamie Cryan, Township Clerk Patricia Donahue, Township Attorney Ryan Cooper and members of the Cranford Police Department. 

Prior to his promotion. Sergeant DiFabio was assigned as a Detective in the Investigative Division.  Additionally, he serves as a member of the Water Rescue Team, Firearmsk Qualifications Unit, Special Operations Team, and as a certified Police Training Commission (PTC) Instructor.  

Patrolman Bellomo served as a Police Officer in the City of Newark prior to today's appointment to the Cranford Police Department.  He was previously assigned as a member of the Field Training Unit and the Community Outreach Unit.
