Cranford Police Search Warrant Yields Arrest and Narcotics Seizure

After a three-month long investigation by Detective Jason D’Agostino and the Cranford Police Department Investigative Division, a Cranford Man was arrested in connection with illegal drug activity taking place on New Street in Cranford.  David Ramondino Jr., 42, was identified as the resident of the Cranford home who was suspected of engaging in illicit drug activity.

On the morning of December 8th, 2021, members of the Cranford Police Investigative Division conducted a surveillance of the Ramondino Jr. residence.  Ramondino Jr. was stopped outside of his home where Detectives executed a search warrant of his 2019 Honda and also of his residence.  Ramondino Jr. was found in possession of Cocaine, Oxycodone pills, Clonazepam pills, Adderall pills, Alprazolam pills, one digital scale and paraphernalia which is typically used in the distribution of narcotics.

Ramondino Jr. was charged with 1st Degree Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine, 3rd Degree Possession of Cocaine, Multiple Counts of 2nd Degree Distribution of CDS within 500 Feet of a Park as well as Multiple Counts of 3rd Degree Possession with the Intent to Distribute Prescription Pills.

Subsequent to being processed, Ramondino Jr. was remanded to the Union County Jail pending a bail hearing and was provided a Union County Superior Court appearance date. 

Residents are reminded that they may submit crime tips to the Cranford Police Department from their smartphones.  With the addition of the ‘crime tips’ feature on the new app, residents may provide Cranford Police Officers vital information that may help address criminal activity in Cranford.  The free app, which is found on the Apple Store and Google Play, offers this “tips” feature for direct, anonymous engagement with officers.
