Following a brief investigation, Cranford Police Detectives charged a 65-year-old Cranford woman with several offenses relating to the assault of a person with a developmental disability in May 2023.

Police were dispatched to a Cranford behavioral day program on May 24^th, 2023, when management learned of a staff member assaulting a day program participant.  With the cooperation of the day program’s management, Cranford Police Detectives identified staff member Gloria Kelsey, 65, of Cranford New Jersey and charged her with 4^th Degree endangering the welfare of a person with a developmental disability and simple assault. 

Kelsey was issued a summons pending an appearance in Union County Superior Court.
