The Township was notified that Elizabethtown Gas will be doing extensive work in Cranford, Garwood and Westfield. In Cranford, the streets affected are sections of North and South Avenue starting as early as February 8^th. Work will be done in the evening hours starting around 6pm.  On North Avenue, the work will be done between Orchard Street and Lincoln Avenue.  On South Avenue, work will be done between South Union Avenue and Centential Avenue.

Lanes will remain open but we do expect potential traffic delays. There will also be parking spaces taken up by contractor trucks and supplies. Please know that the Township has emphasized their concern on how this could affect the Downtown merchants, residents and visitors. This work is mandatory and cannot be delayed.
