Monthly Arrest Blotter - May 2026

Cranford Police Arrest Blotter May 2026:

  1. On 05/01/2026 at 02:36 AM Officer Liam Duffy arrested 27-year-old Sharif Wilson of Newark, NJ for Possession of CDS and Obstruction after he fled on foot from a motor vehicle stop on Centennial Avenue. Wilson was processed and issued a Superior Court date.
  2. On 05/01/2026 at 7:10 PM during a suspicious motor vehicle investigation at a South Avenue business Officer James Wilson arrested 76-year-old Charles Harris, of Garwood, NJ for Possession of CDS. Harris was released pending a Superior Court date.
  3. On 05/03/2026 at 11:34 PM during a motor vehicle crash investigation on Walnut Avenue, Officer Jean Carlos Montero arrested 23-year-old Emily Pauer of Cranford, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated. Pauer was issued four motor vehicle summonses and released pending a Municipal Court date.
  4. On 05/03/2026 at 9:55 PM during a motor vehicle crash investigation on Orange Avenue, Officer Travis Freeman arrested 39-year-old Jonathan Hypolite of East Orange, NJ for Eluding. Hypolite was remanded to the Union County Jail pending a Superior Court date.
  5. On 05/05/2026 at 12:00 PM subsequent to a follow up investigation by Detective Chris Gross, 30-year-old Quazhaun Powell of Somerville, NJ was charged with Hindering Apprehension for an incident that occurred on 05/01/2026 on Centennial Avenue.
  6. On 05/07/2026 at 10:30 AM Detective Timothy Handy arrested 29-year-old Joan Lizardo, of Elizabeth, NJ for Shoplifting at a South Avenue business. Lizardo was released pending a Superior Court date.
  7. On 05/08/2026 at 6:55 PM Sergeant Jason D’Agostino arrested 42-year-old David Rivera of Rahway, NJ for Shoplifting at a South Avenue business. Rivera was released pending a Municipal Court date.
  8. On 05/09/2026 at 8:55 PM during a motor stop on South Avenue Officer Jack Korzeneski arrested 31-year-old David Chumbiauca of Elizabeth, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated. Chumbiauca was issued three motor vehicle summonses and released pending a Municipal Court date.
  9. On 05/12/2026 at 1:15 AM, during a motor vehicle stop on Raritan Road Officer Christian Wilde arrested 27-year-old Kevin Pivaralortega of Linden, NJ for Possession of CDS. Pivaralortega was issued seven motor vehicle summonses and released pending a Superior Court date.
  10. On 05/15/2026 at 3:16 AM during a motor stop on North Avenue Officer Nicolette Tufano arrested 39-year-old Yusef Evans of Newark, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated. Yusef was issued eleven motor vehicle summonses and released pending a Municipal Court date.
  11. On 05/18/2026 at 1:00 AM during a motor vehicle stop on South Avenue Officer Travis Freeman arrested 47-year-old Kandescia Moses of Irvington, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated, Disorderly Conduct and Possession of a Firearm. Moses was issued six motor vehicle summonses and remanded to the Union County Jail pending a Superior Court date.
  12. On 05/24/2026 at 1:48 AM during a motor stop on North Avenue Officer Nicolette Tufano arrested 29-year-old Jose Dominguez of Newark, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated. Dominguez was issued eleven motor vehicle summonses and released pending a Municipal Court date.
  13. On 05/29/2026 at 1:00 PM, during a motor vehicle stop investigation on South Avenue Officer Christian Pasternak arrested 32-year-old Jose Vasquez Espalillat, of Bronx, NY for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. Vasquez Espalillat was released pending a Superior Court date.
  14. On 05/30/2026 at 2:5 AM during a motor vehicle crash investigation on North Avenue Officer Rameil King arrested 27-year old Elisee Blaise of Irvington, Nj for Driving While Intoxicated. Blaise was issued five motor vehicle summonses and released pending a Municipal Court date.
  15. On 05/31/2026 at 2:32 AM, during a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue, Officer Liam Duffy arrested 40-year-old Gerrell Crawley of Roselle Park, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated. Crawley was issued eight motor vehicle summonses and released pending a Municipal Court date.
