12/28/2021 @ 1453 hours

South Union Avenue near South Avenue East

Arrested:  William Torres, 35, Hillsborough NJ

Arrested by:  Patrolman Corey LoForte

Charges:  Obstruction, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia, Contempt of Court

Remarks:  On 12/28/2021 at approximately 1453 hours, Patrolman Corey LoForte conducted a pedestrian stop in the vicinity of the Municipal Parking Deck on South Union Avenue for a crossing violation.  Subsequent to an investigation, Patrolman LoForte arrested William Torres for contempt of court, obstruction and possession of CDS paraphernalia (crack-pipe).  Torres was processed and provided a Municipal Court appearance date.  In addition, Torres was issued a motor vehicle summons for failing to cross within a crosswalk.

 

01/06/2022 @ 1630 hours

200 Block of Orchard Street

Arrested:  Troy Barrientos, 30, Garwood NJ

Arrested by:  Patrolman Antonio Bellomo

Charges:  Theft, Criminal Trespass

Remarks:  On 01/06/2022 at approximately 1430 hours, police were dispatched to the 200 Block of Orchard Street on a report of an individual stealing packages.  Detective John Colineri and Patrolman Antonio Bellomo located the subject, later identified as Troy Barrientos, on Orchard Street.  Subsequent to an investigation, Patrolman Antonio Bellomo arrested Barrientos with theft and criminal trespass.  Barrientos was processed and provided a Superior Court appearance date.

 

01/07/2022 @ 1900 hours

Centennial Avenue at Raritan Road

Arrested:  Chae Vaultz, 30, Hartford CT

Arrested by:  Patrolman Christopher Folinusz

Charges:  Contempt of Court, Hindering Apprehension

Remarks:  On 01/07/2022 at approximately 1900 hours, a Silver Hyundai was stopped on Centennial Avenue near Raritan Road for an improper turn.  Subsequent to a brief investigation, Patrolman Christopher Folinusz arrested a passenger of the vehicle identified as Chae Vaultz for contempt of court and hindering apprehension.  Vaultz was processed, provided a Municipal Court appearance date, and turned over to the East Orange Police Department.  In addition, Vaultz was issued motor vehicle summonses for not wearing a seatbelt. 

 

01/09/2022 @ 2021 hours

Raritan Road at Moen Avenue

Arrested:  Aniyah Towler, 27, Roselle NJ

Arrested by:  Patrolman Christopher Folinusz

Charges:  Possession of Prescription Legend Drugs, Contempt of Court

Remarks:  On 01/09/2022 at approximately 2021 hours, a White Honda was stopped on Raritan Road at Moen Avenue for having an inoperable rear brake light and improper window tint.  Subsequent to an investigation, Patrolman Christopher Folinusz arrested the driver, Aniyah Towler, for possession of prescription legend drugs and contempt of court.  Towler was processed and provided a Superior Court appearance date.
