1.  01/13/2022 @ 1843 hours

200 Block of South Avenue East

Arrested:  Livida Jimenez, 36, Rahway NJ

Arrested by:  Patrolman Michael Gamba

Charges:  Driving While Intoxicated

Remarks:  On 01/13/2022 at approximately 1843 hours, police units were dispatched to the rear of a business on the 200 Block of South Avenue East for the report of a motor vehicle accident.  Subsequent to an investigation, Patrolman Michael Gamba arrested Livida Jimenez for driving while intoxicated.  Jimenez was processed and provided a Municipal Court appearance date.  In addition, Jimenez was issued a motor vehicle summons for careless driving.

 

2.  01/13/2022 @ 1902 hours

200 Block of South Avenue East

Arrested:  Jacquelin Balza, 36, Newark NJ

Arrested by:  Sergeant Steven D’Ambola

Charges:  Driving While Intoxicated, Refusal to Submit To Breath Testing, Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, Obstruction, Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct

Remarks:  On 01/13/2022 at approximately 1902 hours, police units were in the area of the 200 Block of South Avenue East investigating a motor vehicle accident.  During the course of this investigation, a white 2019 Dodge Ram pick-up truck was stopped.  Subsequent to an investigation, Sergeant Steven D’Ambola arrested the driver, Jacquelin Balza, for driving while intoxicated, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, aggravated assault on a police officer, and refusing to submit to breath testing.  Balza was processed and provided a Superior Court appearance date. 

 

3.  01/16/2022 @ 0259 hours

Orange Avenue and Parker Avenue

Arrested:  Stephen Jaskowak, 55, Kenilworth NJ

Arrested by:  Patrolman Antonio Bellomo

Charges:  Driving While Intoxicated, Refusal to Submit to Breath Testing

Remarks:  On 01/16/2022 at approximately 0259 hours, Sergeant Shayne Temple and Patrolman Antonio Bellomo stopped a Gray 2012 Audi in the area of Orange Avenue and Parker Avenue for speeding and careless driving.  Subsequent to an investigation, Patrolman Bellomo arrested the driver, Stephen Jaskowak, for driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit to breath testing.  Jaskowak was processed and provided a Municipal Court appearance date.  In addition, Jaskowak was issued summonses for speeding, careless driving, and failure to keep right.

 

4.  01/16/2022 @ 1957 hours

South Union Avenue and Washington Place

Arrested:  Marc Poirier, 62, Cranford NJ

Arrested by:  Patrolman Christopher Folinusz

Charges:  Driving While Intoxicated

Remarks:  On 01/16/2022 at approximately 1947 hours, police units were dispatched to the intersection of South Union Avenue and Washington Place on a report of a leaving the scene motor vehicle accident.  Subsequent to an investigation, Patrolman Christopher Folinusz arrested one driver, Marc Poirier, for driving while intoxicated.  Poirier was processed and provided a Municipal Court appearance date.  In addition, Poirier was issued summonses for careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident.
