Police Blotter 02/23/2022

02/08/2022 @ 1306 hours

100 Block of Bryant Avenue

Arrested:  Michael Strack, 65, Perth Amboy NJ; Mareena Lee, 27, Carteret, NJ

Arrested by:  Detective Robert Jordan              

Charges:  Possession of CDS Heroin, Possession of Hypodermic Needle, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia, Outstanding Warrant

Remarks:  On 02/08/2022 at approximately 1306 hours, police stopped a Gray 2018 Chevrolet on the 100 Block of Bryant Avenue for a moving violation and for having an expired registration.  Subsequent to an investigation, Detective Robert Jordan arrested the driver, Michael Strack, and the passenger, Mareena Lee, for Possession of CDS Heroin and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.  Lee was also charged with Possession of a Hypodermic Needle and for an Outstanding Warrant out of Matawan, NJ.  Strack and Lee were processed and provided a Superior Court appearance date.  In addition, Strack was issued a motor vehicle summons for having an unregistered vehicle.

 

02/18/2022 @ 2256 hours

Centennial Avenue at Raritan Road

Arrested:  Vebija Bolic, 47, Staten Island, NY

Arrested by:  Patrolman Jason Ingram

Charges:  Possession of CDS Crack-Cocaine; Possession of CDS Paraphernalia, Outstanding Warrants

Remarks:  On 02/18/2022 at approximately 2256 hours, police stopped a 2010 Blue Toyota on Centennial Avenue at Raritan Road for an equipment violation.  Subsequent to an investigation, Patrolman Jason Ingram arrested a passenger, Vebija Bolic, for Possession of CDS Crack-Cocaine, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia, and Outstanding Warrants out of Elizabeth, NJ.  Bolic was processed and provided a Superior Court appearance date.  In addition, Bolic was issued a motor vehicle summons for failing to wear a seatbelt.

 

02/19/2022 @ 2223 hours

North Avenue at John Street

Arrested:  Katherinn Roman, 30, Woodbridge, NJ

Arrested by:  Sergeant Steven D’Ambola

Charges:  Driving While Intoxicated

Remarks:  On 02/19/2022 at approximately 2223 hours, a 2007 Silver Honda was stopped on North Avenue at John Street for a red light violation.  Subsequent to an investigation, Sergeant Steven D’Ambola arrested the driver, Katherinn Roman, for Driving While Intoxicated. Roman was processed and provided a Municipal Court appearance date.  In addition, Roman was issued a summons for failure to observe a signal.

 

02/20/2022 @ 1135 hours

700 Block of Walnut Avenue

Arrested:  Emmaunuel Brown, 22, Rahway, NJ

Arrested by:  Patrolman Anthony Giannico

Charges:  Defiant Trespass, Obstruction of Justice, Possession of Prescription Pills

Remarks:  On 02/20/2022 at approximately 1135 hours, Officer Lynne Galvez was flagged down in the area of the 700 Block of Walnut Avenue on a report of trespassers entering restricted private property.  Subsequent to an investigation, Patrolman Anthony Giannico arrested Emmaunuel Brown for Defiant Trespass, Obstruction of Justice and Possession of Prescription Drugs without a Prescription. Brown was processed and provided a Superior Court appearance date. 

 

02/22/2022 @ 0146 hours

Cayuga Road at Munsee Drive

Arrested:  Nassir Grimsley, 21, Newark NJ

Arrested by:  Patrolman Michael Gamba

Charges:  Possession of CDS Crack-Cocaine; Possession of CDS Paraphernalia

Remarks:  On 02/22/2022 at approximately 0146 hours, police stopped a 2010 Gray Jeep on Cayuga Road at Munsee Drive for multiple moving violations.  Subsequent to an investigation, Patrolman Michael Gamba arrested the driver, Nassir Grimsley, for Possession of CDS Crack-Cocaine and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.  Grimsley was processed and provided a Superior Court Appearance Date.  In addition, Grimsley was issued motor vehicle summonses for unsafe lane change, improper backing, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, and being an unlicensed driver.
