Remarks:
On 07/19/2022 at approximately 1740 hours, police responded to the Cranford Train Station and took report of a stolen bicycle. Detective Ryan Gerrity began his investigation and was able to identify a male suspect on surveillance footage which in turn was publicized through media. On 08/03/2022 at approximately 0346 hours, Patrolman Christopher Folinusz conducted a pedestrian stop of a male identified as Christopher Rivero on the 200 block of South Avenue East. Subsequent to this unrelated investigation, Rivero was arrested for possession of CDS cocaine and possession of CDS paraphernalia. While in custody, Detective Ryan Gerrity confirmed that Rivero was the suspect identified in the 07/19/2022 bicycle theft at the Cranford Train Station. The Union County Prosecutor’s Office approved a charge of 3rd Degree Theft of Moveable Property against Rivero. He was processed on all charges and provided Superior Court Appearance Dates for both the CDS charges and Theft charge.

Remarks:
On 08/02/2022 at approximately 2244 hours, police stopped a 2013 Black Cadillac on Raritan Road at Centennial Avenue for equipment violations. Subsequent to an investigation, driver Robert Riggi was arrested for possession of CDS cocaine and CDS paraphernalia. Riggi processed and provided a Superior Court Appearance Date. In addition, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for maintenance of lamps, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, and failure to exhibit credentials.
