09/03/2023 @ 0302 hours– North Avenue East at Arlington Road

Remarks:
On 09/03/2023 at approximately 0302 hours, police conducted a motor vehicle investigation after Officer Gianna Ricerca observed a 2013 Volkswagen had crashed into a utility pole on North Avenue near Arlington Road. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Ricerca arrested the driver, Mariem Majid of Clifton NJ, for driving while intoxicated. Majid was processed and provided a Municipal Court Appearance Date. In addition, Majid was issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, reckless driving, and delaying traffic.
10/02/2023 @ 0047 hours– Orange Avenue at Manor Avenue

Possession of CDS Ecstasy
Remarks:
On 10/02/2023 at approximately 0047 hours, police stopped a 2000 maroon Mitsubishi on Orange Avenue at Manor Avenue for an equipment violation. Subsequent to an investigation, Officer Antonio Bellomo arrested the driver, Luis Gonzalez of Newark NJ, for possession of CDS Ecstasy. Gonzalez was processed and provided a Superior Court Appearance Date. In addition, Gonzalez was issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to maintain lamps, no front license plate and failure to stop at a red light.
