OAKFIELD TOWNSHIP, MICH:  Residents and businesses along 14 Mile Rd NE between Lappley Ave NE & Wabasis Ave NE are requested to evacuate due to a natural gas leak.  DTE & Oakfield Fire Department are actively investigating multiple underground natural gas leaks near the earlier house fire on 14 Mile Rd.  DTE is on scene evaluating and Oakfield Fire Department has requested the evacuation.  Kent County Emergency Management will provide an update as more information becomes available.  14 Mile Rd remains closed in both directions in this area.
