GAINES Township, Kent County: Multiple public safety agencies respond to child water rescue.

On 07/03/2020 at 8:08 PM, officers from the Kent County Sheriff's Office, along with the Dutton Fire Department and AMR, responded to the 6900 block of Hartman Dr SE in Gaines Township on a child water rescue. Information from the 911 call was that a 3-year-old male was unresponsive after being in water.  

Resuscitation efforts were provided by first responders. The child, whose name is not being released at this time, was transported to Devos Children’s Hospital where he remains in critical condition on life support.
