KCSO Arrests Substitute Teacher for Child Sexually Abusive Activity

KENT COUNTY, Mich:  The KCSO received a complaint in reference to a substitute teacher with multiple local school districts who was inappropriately communicating online with someone who he believed to be a minor.  Brett Wardrop, a 50-year-old Grand Rapids man, was arrested yesterday on charges of: Child Sexually Abusive Activity, Using a Computer to Commit a Crime, and Accosting a Child for Immoral Purposes.  He is alleged to have solicited minors for nude photographs.  KCSO detectives are continuing to investigate the online activity and are working to identity others that may have been victimized.  Wardrop was arraigned in 63rd District Court today and given a $20,000 bond.
