KCSO Deputy Involved in Shooting Incident - No Injuries.

CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich:  A KCSO deputy was involved in a shooting incident and discharged their firearm during the course of a traffic crash investigation early this morning.  There are no injuries resulting from either incident.  In accordance with our policy, the circumstances are being investigated by the Wyoming Department of Public Safety and the deputy has been placed on administrative leave.

On 3/18/2022 at 1:48AM the KCSO responded to a vehicle that had crashed into a power pole on 36th St just east of Patterson Ave.  The pole that was struck was leaning over the roadway with live wires.  The driver is 51-year-old man from Grand Rapids and was not injured. The driver appears to have fallen asleep prior to the crash.  The roadway remains closed at this time.  We will update when the road is back open.
