TYRONE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (July 12, 2021) - The Kent County Sheriff's Office is investigating an accidental death in Tyrone Township.

On 07/12/2021 at 7:26 PM, deputies from the Kent County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to an accidental death in the 4300 block of 22 Mile Rd NW. The victim, Jordan Kamp (18) from Walker, died after a hanger garage-style door had mechanical failure and fell on him. The property had previously been utilized as the Tyrone Township Airport. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Kent City Tyrone Township Fire Department and Rockford Ambulance assisted.
