GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich. (May 12, 2021) – The Kent County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Citgo in Gaines Township.

On 05/12/2021 at 3:45 PM, deputies from the Kent County Sheriff’s Office responded to 6045 Kalamazoo Ave SE on an armed robbery. The suspect entered the store, displayed a gun, and demanded cash from the employee. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late teens or early 20s, approximately 5’6” to 5’8” with a slender build.
