GRAND RAPIDS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (October 1, 2021) - The Kent County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a car crash involving a pedestrian in Grand Rapids Township. 

On 10/01/2021 at 5:29 AM, deputies from the Kent County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Cascade Rd S.E. and East Beltline Ave S.E. A pedestrian was northbound on East Beltline Ave S.E. and attempted to cross Cascade Rd S.E. against the light. The pedestrian, a 29-year-old male, was struck by an eastbound Volkswagen Golf, who had a green light. 

The pedestrian suffered a leg injury and was transported to the hospital. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
