BYRON TOWNSHIP, Mich:  Just after 4:00 PM on 9/23/2022 KCSO responded to a three-vehicle crash along 76th St SW near Indigo Ridge Ave.  A GMC pickup was slowing for a vehicle ahead making a turn when a Jeep tried passing the pickup on the shoulder of the road.  The Jeep swerved back onto the roadway, striking the pickup.  The pickup truck then crossed the centerline striking a Kia Forte.  A 29-year-old female, Misty Rackow from Allendale, driving the Kia died as a result of the crash.  A 36-year-old man from Wyoming driving the pickup suffered serious injuries and the 36-year-old Byron Center man driving the Jeep was uninjured.  The KCSO Traffic Safety Unit is continuing to investigate and will have the case reviewed by the Kent County Prosecutor's Office.
