GRATTAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (Feb. 24, 2021) – The Kent County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal car crash in Grattan Township. On 02/23/2021 at 11:26 PM, deputies from the Kent County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-vehicle car crash on Lincoln Lake Ave NE near 6 Mile Rd NE. 

A Ford F150 was traveling southbound on Lincoln Lake Ave NE when it lost control and struck a tree. The driver, Jared Niedzwiecki (49) from Zilwaukee, died at the scene. No other occupants were in the car.

Grattan Fire Department and Life EMS assisted at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
