SPARTA TOWNSHIP, Mich:  Just after 7:00pm this evening the KCSO responded to a two-vehicle crash at Sparta Ave NW & Ball Creek Rd NW in northern Kent County.  A Ford Escape stopped at Sparta Ave & Ball Creek pulled out in front of a northbound Jeep Cherokee resulting in the crash.  A 27-year-old male from Greenville was the driver of the Escape and died as a result of his injuries.  A 28-year-old female from Greenville was the passenger of the Escape, suffered injuries, but is in stable condition.  In the rear seat of the Escape there was a 2-year-old who suffered minor injuries and 1-month-old child with no injuries.  All passengers in the Escape were transported to a local hospital.

A 20-year-old male from Sparta was the driver of the Jeep along with a 21-year-old female from Muskegon as the passenger.  Both suffered serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital.  

The crash remains under investigation by the KCSO Traffic Unit.
