VERGENNES TOWNSHIP, Mich:  At 10:00am the KCSO responded to a three car crash in the 2500 block of Lincoln Lake Ave NE.  Preliminary findings indicate a Hyundai Sonata being driven by a 66-year-old Grand Rapids woman was northbound and tried passing a Ford Fusion being driven by a 47-year-old Lowell woman and her 16-year-old daughter.  While passing, the Sonata struck an oncoming GMC Yukon driven by a 36-year-old man from Lowell.  

The driver of the Hyundai was transported to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital with life threatening injuries.  All others were treated and released at the scene.  No citations were issued at this time and the crash remains under investigation.
