PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich:  Around 11:30 AM yesterday deputies responded to reports of shots fired in the area of 4 Mile Rd and Plainfield Ave.  The initial investigation reveals that a vehicle crash occurred on Plainfield Ave south of 4 Mile Rd.  The at-fault vehicle fled the scene and the other involved vehicle followed behind.  After the two vehicles turned onto 4 Mile Rd the at-fault vehicle fired shots toward the vehicle following it.  The vehicle was not struck, but one home along 4 Mile Rd was struck by gunfire.  There were no injuries as a result and the case remains open as detectives continue to investigate.
