Case Number: 21-149429
Incident Type: School Threat

KENT COUNTY, Mich: Over the last 24 hours we have received multiple calls regarding a threat against "Central High School" that has been circulating on Snapchat. The threat was generic as it did not specifically identify any school other than, "Central High School."

Investigators learned that the St. Joseph Police Department (Missouri), had investigated a similar threat on Thursday, and had several juveniles in custody involving threats to Central High School within their jurisdiction. We made direct contact with St. Joseph Police who confirmed the Snapchat threats were the same.  A link to the story can be found below.

While it appears this threat has been circulated nationwide, parents and students are encouraged to remain vigilant against any and all threats against a school that they believe to be different than the one described above, and if in doubt, they should call and talk to an officer who can offer some guidance on their specific concern.
