KCSO Investigates Two Car Personal Injury Crash in Lowell Township

LOWELL TOWNSHIP, Mich: On 07/09/2022 at approximately 11:29 PM, the Kent County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the intersection of Alden Nash Ave and Foreman St in Lowell Township in reference to a two car personal injury crash with one person ejected. A truck traveling westbound on Foreman Street, being driven by a 16 year old driver from Alto, failed to stop at the stop sign and was struck by a vehicle being driven by a 20 year old male from Belmont that was southbound on Alden Nash Avenue. The collision caused the truck to roll and the 17 year old female passenger of the truck to be ejected. The 17 year old female, who was from Lowell, was transported to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital where she is listed in stable condition and is being treated for serious injuries. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor and the crash remains under investigation.

The Kent County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Lowell Fire Dept, Lowell Police Department, Rockford Ambulance Service, Life EMS and the Kent County Road Commission.
