CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (Nov 10, 2020) - On 11/10/2020 at 11:27 AM, deputies from the Kent County Sheriff’s Office responded to a personal injury accident at Whitneyville Ave SE and 68th St SE.

A motorcycle, driven by a 76-year-old male from Kalamazoo, attempted to turn northbound onto Whitneyville Ave SE when it was struck by a Chevrolet pickup truck that was driving southbound. The driver of the pickup truck, an 84-year-old male from Alto, had the right-of-way. The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital with various injuries. The accident remains under investigation, but alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor. Caledonia Township Fire Department and Cascade Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.
