On 8/15/19 at approximately 3:30 a.m. a Kent County Deputy attempted to stop a stolen car on the East Beltline in Grand Rapids Township. The car fled from south into the city of Kentwood. As other deputies were setting up stop sticks, the driver lost control and hit a power pole at the intersection of 28^thStreet and Broadmoor. All three occupants were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Two of the three individuals were subsequently arrested.
