· Violent storms July 19-20 have left more than 219,000 customers without power, with the hardest hit areas in Kent County.

· We know our customers’ first priority is staying safe and cool; they also are trying to preserve food in their refrigerators and freezers.

· That’s why Consumers Energy partnered with Meijer to provide bottled water and bags of ice to customers affected by these storms.

· Additionally, we partnered with Ice Box Brand LLC to give customers ice cream bars.

· We will be handing out bagged ice and bottled water at the American Legion Cedar Springs Post Monday, July 22 from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

· We are grateful for the patience and understanding of our customers in West Michigan.
