CASCADE Township, Kent County: A search effort is underway in Ada Township for a missing person Deborah 'Deb' Ann Hees, a 68 year old female with advanced Alzheimers Disease. She is 5'2" and 112 pounds. Deb left her residence on foot from the 8100 Block of Shadybrook Dr NE (east off Buttrick south of Thornapple River Dr) at 6:00 p.m. today and was seen on a neighbor's Ring Doorbell camera at approximately 6:30 p.m. walking toward Buttrick Ave, however we do now know which direction she went on Buttrick. She had with her the family dog which is described as a small white Poodle Bichon mix named Chloe who was not on a leash. She was last seen wearing a coral colored t-shirt and black pants.
According to family, Deb does not normally leave the home, and neither does the dog. The dog is friendly, but it is possible the two have been separated. She does not have family in the area or access to a vehicle.
R.A.C.E.S search and rescue team has been activated and is in the field as 11:00 p.m. and several neighbors and family continue to walk and drive nearby neighborhoods. Residents are encouraged to check their property and any surveillance cameras that store historical data and call 911 with any information.
