Due to increased concerns in the Bumpass area and on social media the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office would like to release the following statement:

We are actively and aggressively investigating an isolated incident that was reported earlier this month on the eastern portion of Louisa County. Due to the nature of the offense and in an effort to protect the identities of those involved and to protect the integrity of the case we are unable to publically comment on this investigation. There are currently no other reports of the same nature to others in the area, nor do we have any evidence to suggest that there would be any kind of threat to the public.

The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office will immediately notify our community whenever there is a threat that endangers Louisa County. As always, remember to lock your doors, and be aware about what is going on around you.
