On July 7, 2025, at 11:15PM, Medicine Hat Police Service patrol members observed a vehicle travelling in the 400 block of 9th Street SE with a male passenger who was known to police. A vehicle stop was conducted and after further investigation the male passenger was arrested and searched. He was found to be in possession of 19.8 grams of cocaine packaged in five sperate baggies, three fixed blade knives; two of which had brass knuckles on the handle and $2,330 in cash.
The male was identified as 34-year-old Jeremiah Amero of Medicine Hat. Amero was held for a bail hearing and charged with: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Proceeds of Crime, three counts of Possession of a Weapon Dangerous, three counts of Carry a Concealed Weapon, two counts of Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and two counts Breach of a Weapon Prohibition.
Amero was remanded into custody to appear in court on July 17, 2025.
