UPDATE

The response to a suspicious package at Southview Dr & Dunmore Rd SE has concluded. The device was rendered safe by MHPS EDU. People in the area would have heard a loud bang as part of that response.  Fire and EMS have cleared the scene. Police remain on scene and continue to investigate. 

Roads have been opened.

Emergency crews remain on scene on Southview Dr and Dunmore Rd SE. The MHPS Explosive DIsposal Unit has responded to a complaint os a suspicious package and will be safely removing and disposing of the item. 

Please avoid the area and obey the directions of police and fire personnel that are directing traffic in the area. 

Residents in the immediate area of Dunmore Road and the 2700 block of Soutview Dr and Calder Rd at Cypress Way are requested to shelter in place.
