On September 26, 2026, at approximately 5:36 p.m., members of the Medicine Hat Police Service and other emergency responders attended the 200 block of Southlands Boulevard SE following a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a commercial building.

The 78-year-old driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital for assessment before being released. No other injuries were reported.

Combined damage to the vehicle and building is estimated at approximately $50,000.

The investigation determined that a medical event contributed to the collision. No charges will be laid.
