The investigation into a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred on August 23, 2024, has concluded with no charges.

On August 23, 2024, at approximately 7:00 PM members of the Medicine Hat Police Service (MHPS), fire and emergency services responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision that had occurred at the intersection of Park Meadows Drive SE And Southview Drive SE.

The investigation into this collision revealed that an 82-year-old woman was walking on the westbound sidewalk adjacent to Southview Drive SE, approaching the intersection of Park Meadows Dr SE when she stumbled, lost her lost her balance, and fell directly into the path of a vehicle that was travelling eastbound on Southview Dr SE. As a result of the collision, the woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at scene.
