On September 10, 2025, at approximately 8:43 p.m., Naples Police Officers were dispatched to 8th Ave S and Gulf Shore Blvd S after 911 callers reported a female yelling for help and refusing to get into a vehicle.
When officers arrived, the female reported that her boyfriend, Roy Henry Forster, a resident of Orange County, FL, had fled southbound through nearby properties after hearing police sirens.
A containment perimeter was quickly established from 8th Ave S to 18th Ave S. In addition to probable cause for domestic violence-related charges, officers learned that Forster had an active warrant out of Orlando for another domestic violence incident.
CCSO Air 1 and multiple K9 units responded to assist. Within 10 minutes of their arrival, a K9 team located Forster hiding between a fence and the protected sea oats near Broad Ave S and the beach.
Forster was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Naples Jail Center, where he was charged with: Felony Battery Prior Convictions, Attempted Robbery by sudden snatching, Resisting Arrest, Possession of a Controlled Substance, as well as his active warrant (Orlando).
Thanks to our night shift officers and CCSO for their teamwork in making a quick, safe arrest.
