On the afternoon of September 18, 2026, a resident of Gulf Shore Boulevard North reported the theft of several packages from the driveway near the gate to her home. The packages, valued at a total of $348.78, had been delivered earlier by Amazon.

During the investigation, detectives with the Naples Police Department viewed footage from a nearby security camera which showed the suspect stealing six packages from the victim’s property. The suspect’s vehicle was identified by the video and observed on traffic cameras driving out of the City. After passing a license plate reader (LPR), the vehicle’s tag was obtained, and a subsequent records check showed the registered owner as Jimmy Arturo Chavez Dmiquel (22 years old).

Detectives contacted Demiquel, who met with them on 09-23-26 at the Naples Police Department. He admitted during an interview that he was the individual depicted in the security camera footage removing the six packages. He was subsequently arrested for petit theft from curtilage of a dwelling (felony) and transported to the Naples Jail Center without incident.
