On September 5–6, 2026, Naples Police officers responded to multiple reports of residential burglaries and the theft of a rental BMW in the area of 1st Avenue South and Oleander Drive.
The stolen BMW contained personal property valued at more than $5,000, and the victim’s credit cards were later used fraudulently for more than $1,300 in purchases.
On September 6, officers responding to a burglary in progress on Oleander Drive located the fleeing suspect, identified as Christen Michele Cutler, hiding in nearby bushes. Cutler initially resisted officers’ commands and was placed under arrest.
Later that afternoon, officers stopped the stolen BMW in Old Naples and arrested Nicholas Murawski, who was driving with a revoked license. Officers found drug paraphernalia, stolen property from the reported burglaries, and mail stolen from residential mailboxes inside the vehicle.
A receipt and credit card found in the BMW linked Cutler to approximately $1,300 in fraudulent purchases at the Four Seasons, including women’s clothing and accessories.
Murawski and Cutler have also had multiple prior interactions with law enforcement, including arrests by NPD related to a golf cart theft in May 2025 and trespassing in October 2025.
Both suspects were transported to the Naples Jail Center and face numerous charges, including burglary, grand theft auto, grand theft, fraudulent use of credit cards, mail theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, and driving with a revoked license.
